Biography

Dr. Johnson grew up just outside Atlanta, Georgia where he was an avid athlete and soccer player. He then matriculated to the University of Georgia where he completed his BSc in Microbiology. He remained in Athens, Georgia where he went on to obtain his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Georgia. After working at University Hospital for two years, he made the decision to pursue his MD from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. After graduating, he chose to stay in Augusta to complete his residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery. During residency, he developed a strong interest in facial reconstructive surgery thanks to strong mentorship from both cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons. When not participating in patient care he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, exercising, discovering new restaurants, and spending time outdoors.
