Connie Tran, B.S.

  • Research Assistant 2, Research in Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, School of Medicine

Biography

Connie, a Portland native, recently joined Dr. Eric Schnell's lab as a Research Assistant 2. She loves everything about Portland and the PNW, from the weather and environment to her family and all the friends she's made along the way.

Connie last worked/volunteered with the Trunkey Center, which conducts Trauma Clinical Research at OHSU. She is also still working with the Portland State University Center for Internship, Mentorship, and Research as a Peer Mentor for the programs there. In that role, she supports underrepresented students as they explore research for the first time.

Connie finished her Bachelor of Science at Portland State University, majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology and Neuroscience; she is also on the pre-med track. She is still figuring out what she wants to do and is interested in the M.D., Ph.D., or joint M.D./Ph.D. pathways.

In her free time, Connie loves being outdoors and exploring what the outdoors has to offer. She also loves traveling and learning about new places. Reading, watching Korean Dramas, Anime, movies (she has a special place in her heart for horror movies) and attending music festivals are among her favorite pastimes.
