Biography

Cynthia joined the OHSU Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit in 2010, specializing in postoperative cardiothoracic surgery care. She transitioned with the ICU as it evolved into the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, which now focuses on the care of those with all critical cardiac conditions. She enjoys the complexity of the ICU and assisting patients and their families in navigating their paths toward wellness.

One thing she appreciates most about the ICU is the opportunity to work with skilled intensivists, surgeons, heart failure specialists and cardiologists who provide state-of-the-art therapies for complex disease processes. Cynthia is also a member of Simulated Code Interdisciplinary Team Training, which helps improve skills of the OHSU Code Blue response team.
