Biography
Dr. Cynthia Song is an assistant professor of psychiatry and licensed clinical psychologist at the Knight Cardiovascular Institute. Dr. Song also integrates tools from other therapy modalities to support her patients’ needs. Dr. Song has experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds in hospital settings, community mental health clinics and college counseling centers. Dr. Song is especially interested in the impact of chronic illness on identity formation and relationships, and focuses on shifting patterns of trauma to expand one’s sense of agency for a more robust and compassionate sense of being with self and others.
