Dana Dharmakaya Colgan, Ph.D.

  • Assistant Professor of Neurology, School of Medicine

Biography

Dr. Colgan is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in behavioral neuroscience, neuropsychology, and mind-body medicine in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health and Science University. She directs the OHSU’s Cognitive Testing and Intracranial Brain Mapping program, a multidisciplinary collaboration between the departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Anaesthesiology and Preoperative Medicine, and Pediatrics. Her research employs broadband intercranial EEG data in conjunction with cognitive testing to assess functional localization of cognitive process. A secondary line of research aims to identify modifiable preoperative predictors of post neurosurgical outcomes. Finally, a third line of research employs quantitative and qualitative approaches to investigate mechanisms of nonpharmaceutical interventions that may shape adaptive responses to pain and stress in neurological disease and develop, optimize, and evaluate treatment outcomes of interventions for neurological populations.
