David J. Rozansky, M.D., Ph.D.
- Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Nephrology, School of Medicine
- Associate Program Director, Pediatric Residency Program
Biography
Dr. Rozansky studies hormonal regulation of sodium transport in the kidney's distal nephron, an area of the kidney responsible for blood pressure control. He is especially interested in delineating the molecular mechanisms for how hormonal signals control specific sodium transporter. Characterizing these pathways will provide further targets for medication to control blood pressure. Recent publications include:J Clin Invest. 2009 Aug 17. pii: 38323. doi: 10.1172/JCI38323.
