Elyse transitions to the APOM Research Administration Team after spending several years as a Senior Research Associate in the APOM Basic Science Research Division. Elyse grew up in the Seattle area, and spent most of her childhood exploring the central WA Cascades. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2010, and after graduation she was offered a position in the lab of Dr. Richard Palmiter. Elyse transitioned from UW to OHSU in 2013, when she accepted a position as a Research Assistant. Elyse has been working in academic research ever since, first as a technician and eventually as a lab manager/project manager for the labs of Dr. Mary Stenzel-Poore and Dr. Nabil Alkayed. She is very excited to support research efforts across the department.
