Biography

Emily Jacobsen joined the Physician Assistant Program's faculty in 2007 in a part-time role focused on the academic year. Her responsibilities include course director and facilitator in Clinical Medicine Tutorials, proctoring the Physical Exam Lab, lecturing on various topics in the didactic year and precepting 1st and 2nd year students. She is an Associate Professor and works with the PA program 1.5 days per week and the remainder of her time is spent working in OHSU's Family Medicine at Richmond Clinic.

She is a 2004 graduate of the OHSU PA program. She has been active with serving on many committees at OHSU as well as regional committees.  She is enthusiastic about serving the underserved in an urban setting at an FQHC (federally qualified health center) in southeast Portland. She is also passionate about preventive medicine in her practice.
