Biography
Emma Wolcott is a first year PhD student advised by Cat Dayger and Jungsun Kim. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelors of Science in Spring 2022. In her undergraduate research, Emma discovered an interest in mechanobiology and will be applying it to early detection of pancreatic cancer in her research at CEDAR. Emma also completed two summer internships with the National Cancer Institute in 2020 and 2021, both of which expanded her knowledge of computational and image processing techniques. She enjoys running and is very excited to explore Portland’s running community. She also loves hiking and being outdoors.
