Erick Rivera-Grana, M.D.
- Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, School of Medicine
- Casey Eye Institute, School of Medicine
Biography
I was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Upon completing medical school, I came to OHSU Casey Eye Institute as a uveitis research fellow. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful landscape and the people from the Pacific Northwest. I returned to Puerto Rico to complete my ophthalmology residency before going to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute to complete my training in Uveitis. Afterward, I had the pleasure of returning to Portland and completing a glaucoma fellowship.
Both uveitis and glaucoma usually go hand in hand, and having additional training in both specialties provides me with better tools to treat patients. My research interests include association and treatment outcomes in uveitic glaucoma.
In my free time, I enjoy collecting and playing board games and watching Formula 1 races alongside my puppy, Darth Fluffy.
