Gaelen B. Stanford-Moore, M.D., MPhil

Biography

Dr. Stanford-Moore is originally from Pasadena, California. She attended UC Berkeley for her undergraduate degree in molecular biology, graduating with honors and received the department award for top student. She went on to study medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where she graduated with honors. She stayed at UCSF for complete her 5-year Otolaryngology/Head and Neck surgery residency training. Her research interests include surgical outcomes for facial plastic surgery patients as well as safe access to surgery worldwide. In addition to her medical degree, she obtained a master’s degree in epidemiology from the University of Cambridge, England, focusing on statistical analyses in clinical research and how to increase access to safe surgery for patients in low-resource settings. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running and playing soccer.
