Biography

Grace is a genetic counselor with the Ophthalmic Genetics Division at Casey Eye Institute. She works with ophthalmologists to coordinate genetic testing, interpret and explain genetic test results, and contribute to research initiatives.

Grace completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology and a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling at the University of Pittsburgh. She was introduced to the field of ophthalmic genetics through training at the UPMC Vision Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her research interests include inherited retinal dystrophies, patient communication, and genetic test selection.

Outside of her professional role, Grace loves to spend time with friends and family. She enjoys exploring Portland, spending time outdoors, and relaxing with a good book.
