Gregory Faulkner, D.O., M.P.H.

  • Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, School of Medicine

Biography

"After a misspent youth in Reno, Nevada, I moved to Seattle to attend UW and spent several years there engaged in molecular biology research. I then moved to Portland, and spent another ten years actively participating in research at OHSU, where I met my lovely wife Kim. We then decided it was time for me to go to medical school, and I found myself in Southern California and in the Navy. Most of my time was spent in the San Diego area, either at the Naval Hospital or at Camp Pendleton with the Marines, with whom I spent a year in Afghanistan. While I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Navy in San Diego, my wife and I missed the green, the rain and the Pacific Northwest, and decided we needed to move back to Portland. In our spare time, we enjoy hiking with our dogs, working on the house, and trying to create a backyard oasis."
