Hagen Kennecke, M.D., M.H.A., FRCPC (he/him)
Biography
Dr. Hagen Kennecke is an oncologist who provides early detection, preventive therapy and treatments for gastrointestinal (GI) cancers such as cancers of the bile duct, colon, small intestine, pancreas and rectum, as well as appendix cancer and neuroendocrine cancers and tumors. He works passionately to improve the treatment, education and outcomes of those affected by colorectal, neuroendocrine and GI cancers.
Dr. Kennecke is section chief and chief health officer of the OHSU Knight-Legacy Health Cancer Collaborative. He is an active clinician researcher, the recipient of numerous research awards and the current and past chair of national and international clinical trials in GI oncology. He is a member of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) GI Steering Committee, immediate past chair of the NCI Rectal-Anal Task Force and a prior member of the NCI Neuroendocrine Tumor Task Force. He works extensively within the GI cancer community including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society, Canadian Cancer Trials Group, SWOG Cancer Research Network, Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, Learn Advocate Connect Neuroendocrine Tumor Society and Healing NETS.
