Biography

As a nurse practitioner, I provide inpatient, pre-operative, post-operative, and non-operative care to patients with traumatic injuries. I treat traumatic injuries resulting from motor vehicle collisions, falls, and assaults.

I am originally from rural northern Michigan and spent eight years as a nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner. Much of my nursing career took place in the Southeast, including North Carolina, western Virginia, and Tennessee. In 2023, I moved to Oregon and joined OHSU's trauma service as a nurse practitioner in July 2024.

My approach to patient care is holistic, addressing not only physical injuries but also pain management, mobility improvement, patient education, emotional support, and safe discharge planning. I enjoy working with trauma patients because it is a complex and challenging field, and I find it rewarding to help patients heal and witness their progress.

Outside of work, I love hiking and exploring the Pacific Northwest wilderness with my partner and our three large dogs. I am also passionate about habitat restoration and native gardening.
