Heather Holderness, M.P.H

Biography

Heather Holderness, M.P.H. is a Research Associate working in the Department of Family Medicine. She is currently the Research Program Core manager for the National Cancer Institute funded BRIDGE-C2 Center: Building Research in Implementation and Dissemination to Close Gaps and achieve Equity in Cancer Control. The goal of this center is to design and implement strategies to improve primary care cancer prevention delivery, support pilot studies, and foster implementation science training for different levels and types of learners. She has a Master's in Public Health from the University of Rochester with a concentration in epidemiology and public policy. Her research portfolio includes the management of randomized control trials to study pediatric asthma in urban Rochester, NY and community-based participatory research studies focused on smoking cessation and secondhand-smoke reduction in the Dominican Republic.
