Biography
At CEDAR, Holly Day is pursuing her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering under the mentorship of Dr. Carolyn Schutt Ibsen. She aims to further early breast cancer detection through employing tissue engineering, drug delivery, and ultrasound physics methods. Holly graduated from California State University, San Marcos with a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology and a minor in biological sciences. At CSUSM, she utilized 3D printing techniques to study cellular interactions. Holly aims to translate her previous experience to CEDAR by applying 3D printing techniques to create stimuli-responsive 3D tumor models.
