Biography

Ishfaq Ahmad joins CEDAR as a Postdoctoral Scholar after completing one-year tenure as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Chronic Disease Epidemiology at the School of Public Health, Yale University. During his time at Yale, Ishfaq worked on a project focused on Micro-Simulation Modeling (Natural History Modeling) aimed at developing cost-effective prevention and control strategies for the progression of Multiple Myeloma. Now at CEDAR, Ishfaq will concentrate on conducting research to model the population impact of innovative cancer screening tests. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematical Epidemiology from Tohoku University, Japan, in September 2022. Ishfaq eagerly anticipates his role at CEDAR and is confident that his skills, training, and drive will make a substantial contribution to furthering CEDAR's mission. Outside of his professional pursuits, Ishfaq enjoys hiking and participating in various sports activities, showcasing his well-rounded personality and dedication to personal growth.
