Biography

Dr. Ivanna Sanoja, M.D was born and raised in Venezuela where she earned a medical degree in 2012 from Universidad de Carabobo. As a recent graduate, she practiced for one year in the emergency department as an acute care provider.

She fullfilled licensing requirements and obtained a certificate from the educational commission for foreign medical graduates (ECFMG) in 2015. She completed internship and anesthesiology residency at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, IL and a Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR in 2021.

Her clinical interests include: trauma resuscitation, management of brain dead organ donors, airway management, and critically ill obstetric patients. 

Dr. Sanoja attends the operating rooms and the cardiovascular intensive care unit. In addition, she attends the virtual intensive care unit through our telemedicine service, providing critical care to rural areas in the state of Oregon.
