Biography

Dr. Jim Chesnutt works with the Division of Health Promotion, sports medicine, and family medicine on a variety of projects aimed at pediatric and adult sports medicine issues and health promotions programs. In pediatrics, Dr. Chesnutt’s research interests focus around injury risk factors and prevention and sports concussion awareness and management. Dr. Chesnutt collaborates with his colleagues in family medicine to develop and assess programs to implement new concussion management protocols in the clinical arena and in the community. A new area of focus for Dr. Chesnutt is helping develop and design research projects by engaging the OHSU March Wellness and Fitness Center to collaborate with OHSU departments that wish to incorporate exercise and wellness principles into their research projects.
