Biography

Jamie Keck has experience in clinical genomics and precision oncology, and a background in translational oncology, cancer target discovery, signaling pathways, and cell cycle regulation.

My research experience spans from cell biology to translational cancer research. My graduate work focused on cell cycle regulation and chromosome instability, and as a postdoctorate I characterized the phosphoproteome and phospho-regulation of a cellular organelle essential to cell division and cancer. I then transitioned into translational research working with the Druker laboratory to identify mutations in leukemia patients that drive tumor growth.

Following a personal experience of navigating a family member through the difficult process of cancer treatment and identification of a successful targeted therapy, my career path has turned to promoting molecular testing and personalized cancer treatment options. I am now heading a project at the Knight Cancer Institute in clinical genomics.
