- Instructor, Pediatric Perfusion
Biography
Jessica Dixon is a certified clinical perfusionist who cares for children and adults with lung and heart problems. She treats cardiac bypass patients and children with congenital heart disease. She performs perfusion and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), procedures that help keep blood and oxygen moving through the body during surgery.
“It is incredibly rewarding to see a child come in while they are incredibly sick with complex cardiac disease and know you are part of the surgical team that was able to help give them an opportunity for a long healthy life,” she said.
Outside of work, she and her husband enjoy traveling, hiking, biking and recreating on the water around the Northwest.
