Biography
Jessica is an Assistant Professor and the Associate Academic Program Director in the Division of Management at Oregon Health & Science University. Originally trained as a behavior change researcher, she approaches leadership as a quest for continuous improvement, bringing together teams to create purpose-driven cultures of excellence.
Jessica joined the Division of Management in 2011 and teaches in both the MS in Healthcare Administration and MBA in Healthcare Management, leading the Capstone program, the culminating experience for students. Within the OHSU, she partners with the Division of Continuing Professional Development to offer CME and MOC credit for graduate coursework. She explores how to improve the transfer of knowledge to the workplace, with a focus on interdisciplinary perspectives and systems thinking. Throughout her teaching, she is interested in using play and games to improve learning.
Outside of the classroom, she collaborates with local and international organizations to create customized executive education and offers organizational assessments, meeting facilitation, and strategic planning facilitation. Since 2017, she has served as a conflict coach for the University.
