Jimmy (James) H. Beckwith, D.O. (he/him)
- Assistant Professor of Family Medicine, School of Medicine
Biography
I’m a family physician passionate about providing comprehensive care to people of all ages. I am interested in pediatrics, sports medicine, mental health and medical education. I also really enjoy inpatient medicine and performing procedures. I earned my medical degree from Touro University California, where I was trained in osteopathic manipulative medicine.
I grew up in Portland and was proud to become a first-generation college graduate and physician. Overcoming challenges early in life gave me a deep understanding of the health disparities that many low-income and marginalized communities face. This inspired me to pursue a career in primary care, where I can work alongside patients at every stage of life to help address these challenges and improve their overall well-being.
