Julia was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and grew up hearing about the incredible work at OHSU. She earned an interdisciplinary degree in community health from Western Washington University, focusing on women's health policy and equity. She's worked in a wide variety of project management and leadership roles since graduating university and is excited to be entering her first role in cancer research. Julia will be assisting the CEDAR team on the Healthy Oregon Project. In her free time, Julia enjoys pursing outdoor activities including rock climbing, mountaineering and hiking. She had the privilege to live in Spain for the last two years and also enjoys reading and speaking in Spanish. She's honored to be supporting a project that's saving lives and informing cancer research.
