Dr. Julian Ponsetto provides pediatric primary care at the OHSU Doernbecher Pediatrics Clinic. Dr. Ponsetto was born and raised in Massachusetts and completed his pediatric residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He loves his job as a general pediatrician, particularly building relationships with families and being an ally and resource for parents to help their children thrive. He believes healthy habits built early in life can have a tremendously positive effect on the well-being of individuals throughout their lifetime. Dr. Ponsetto has previously spent time working in the urgent care setting and has experience in acute care and minor procedures. He is a certified instructor of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association. Other academic interests include infectious diseases and antibiotic stewardship.

In his free time, Dr. Ponsetto enjoys trying all the amazing food Portland has to offer, watching his beloved Boston sports teams, exploring the great outdoors of Oregon with his wife and trying not to pull his hamstring on his flag football team. On the weekends you may find him attempting to jog up Mount Tabor with varying levels of success and effort.
