Biography
Kailin Mooney joins CEDAR as a Research Engineer 1 while completing her master's in chemistry at the University of Oregon, focusing on molecular sensors and biotechnology. Kailin received her bachelor's in chemistry from the University of Portland in 2021 where she did research synthesizing organometallic catalysts. She then completed a postbac at the National Institute on Drug Abuse where she studied serotonergic circuitry in the orbitofrontal cortex relevant to drug use disorders. Kailin looks forward to continuing her education at CEDAR by making and testing biocompatible probes to enhance early tumor detection.
