Biography
Dr. Purpura grew up in Proctor, West Virginia. She completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. She remained at West Virginia University for medical school and earned her MD degree. She went on to complete her residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. During residency she developed a strong interest in laryngology. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, crocheting, watching movies, and going to the beach.
