Biography
Kenneth Gundle, M.D., is a Portland-raised Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on tumors of the musculoskeletal system. He believes that bone and soft tissue tumors benefit from comprehensive evaluation and a team-based, patient-centered approach to treatment. “At OHSU we have a multidisciplinary team that develops individualized plans of care for patients, bringing the latest technology and research to bear in treating challenging conditions.”
Dr. Gundle treats patients with benign and malignant tumors, with a particular focus in sarcoma care, as well as metastatic disease in bone. His research on new ways to improve outcomes that matter most to patients has been presented at regional, national, and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. He also believes in supporting the families and communities affected by these conditions, such as through the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation.
In Portland he is joined by his wife and son, dog and cat, as well as a large extended family with deep roots in the region. An avid gardener in our maritime climate, he and his family also enjoy cooking as well as the amazing Portland-area restaurants and farmers’ markets. He passionately believes in the mission of OHSU to care for patients throughout Oregon and the region.
