Dr. Ryan grew up in Temecula, CA. She attended Wellesley College in Massachusetts. While in undergrad, she majored in Spanish and played for the Varsity softball team. During that time she spent eight months working in Spain with a urologist and at a clinic for patients with cerebral palsy. She attended University of Colorado for medical school where she was a member of the Global Health Track, worked with Failure to Thrive refugee children, conducted research exclusive breastfeeding with the Nepalese population and was elected to AOA.
