Biography
Laszlo Szidonya went to medical school at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, where he stayed at the Dept. of Physiology after graduation to work on his Ph.D. After getting board certified in radiology in 2012, he worked at the Heart and Vascular Center of Semmelweis University, focusing on neuroradiology. He came to Portland in 2016 to work in the Blood-Brain Barrier and Neuro-Oncology program, to investigate ferumoxytol as an MRI contrast agent. He liked the Pacific Northwest enough to join the ABR Alternate Pathway program in 2019, which opened his eyes to the possibilities in molecular imaging and therapy. He is now working at the Molecular Imaging & Therapy and Neuroradiology sections. In his free time, he likes reading, hiking in the beautiful forests, playing board games, building model rockets, and baking bread.
