Biography
Dr. Kahl is a clinical rheumatologist with a long-standing interest in medical education. She is the recipient of numerous Distinguished Service Teaching Awards from Washington University School of Medicine, and the Clinician Scholar Educator Award from the American College of Rheumatology. She joined OHSU faculty in July, 2011, and her responsibilities include attending in the rheumatology fellows’ clinics, Lupus and Scleroderma clinic, and the consult service. She is interested in enhancing educational opportunities in rheumatology for medical students and residents, as well as fellows. In addition to her position in rheumatology, Dr. Kahl serves as associate dean for strategic initiatives. There, her work includes issues primarily relating to faculty development and education. She was instrumental in founding the OHSU Educators' Collabortive, which host monthly Education Grand Rounds, cosponsors the Annual Symposium on Educational Excellence, and the Educational Innovation Minigrants Program. She previously served as associate dean for student affairs at Washington University School of Medcine in St. Louis.
