Biography

Lucas graduated with a B.S. in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and a Biology minor from UC San Diego in 2024. Catalyzed by his enthusiasm for his work as an undergraduate research assistant, he decided to continue along the path of scientific research and joined the lab of Dr. Nora Gray. There, he works to support the lab’s research into the efficacy of various botanical compounds in attenuating the pathological and behavioral effects of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders in mouse models. Lucas appreciates the opportunity to contribute to ongoing research efforts while growing as a scientist in preparation for future graduate education in the field of neurobiology. Outside of the lab, Lucas enjoys cooking, sudoku, basketball, playing guitar, and playing with his cat, Gary. Fun fact: Lucas hosted a radio show in college.
