Biography
Malwina Szczepaniak has over fourteen years of experience working as a biophysicist in Europe and the US, both in academia and the industry. She applied time-resolved fluorescence techniques to study electron transfer in the early steps of photosynthesis and the kinetics of protein folding, single-molecule fluorescence methods to investigate protein-protein and protein-nucleic acid interactions, and single-molecule localization microscopy to visualize various cellular biomarkers. Malwina received her Ph.D. in natural sciences from the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf, Germany and worked at Center for Biological Research in Madrid, Spain, Kavli Institute of Nanoscience in Delft, Netherlands before joining OHSU in 2021.
