Biography
Dr. Mary Pickett is an internal medicine and geriatrics doctor. She understands that healthcare can feel complicated and that patients appreciate having an advocate. She's honored that patients put their trust in her.
She has special interests in primary care of adult patients, medication safety and policies around opioid prescribing. She also has special interests in iron deficiency and pain syndromes related to bones, muscles, ligaments and other connective tissue. She also develops and teaches part of the curriculum for medical residents in internal medicine at OHSU.
While continuing her medical practice, Dr. Pickett also was a senior medical editor for Harvard Health Publications for 15 years. She wrote weekly pieces for consumer health information websites and edited educational content.
Dr. Pickett is a native Oregonian. When she's not working, she enjoys the outdoors, crafts, cooking and spending time with her husband and three children.
