Hi, I’m Matt, a Writing Specialist and a go-to person for anything writing related!  I hold not one but two English degrees and I have been teaching writing for ten years now. I am excited to support learners in the School of Nursing. I love reading and engaging with complex, new ideas. I look at teaching as an exchange where I share my skills and you share your skills, so please come by to chat! 

When I’m not writing, I like digging through the jazz section at the record store and shooting 35mm photography with my wife. I take care of two stray cats named Longfellow and One Eared Sally. I like romping around the Oregon Coast and climbing to contemplative vistas atop of mountains. I grew up in rural Kentucky on a farm and I happy to share videos of furry critters upon request.
