Matthew Lawhead is a Senior Research Engineer with the OCTRI Innovation Core. He works extensively with Brain Computer Interface (BCI) software as a lead developer for the open source BciPy application and is a co-author for an associated white paper. Matthew graduated with an Honors degree from Oregon State University, studying Biology and Computer Science. He has over 20 years of experience in software development, including work in industry and government. When he is not busy remodeling his house, Matthew enjoys woodworking, blacksmithing, making sourdough bread, practicing tai chi, playing mandolin, and spending time with his family.
