Biography
Maureen K. Baldwin, M.D., M.P.H. is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed medical school and residency at OHSU (2007, 2011), and a fellowship in family planning at OHSU (2013). She completed a Master’s Degree in Public Health at OHSU in the OHSU/PSU dual degree program with medical school (2007). Following her fellowship, she joined the OHSU Ob/Gyn Department as academic faculty. She now co-directs the Interdisciplinary Hematology-Gynecology Adolescent Clinic, “Spots, Dots, and Clots” and has a Practice Focus Designation in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. She is Clinical Director of the Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic at the Center for Women’s Health at OHSU. She is a current NIH Women’s Reproductive Health Research Scholar.
Dr. Baldwin provides Ob/Gyn care at the Center for Women’s Health, with a focus on family planning, including adolescent gynecology and early pregnancy management.
Dr. Baldwin’s research focuses on clinical diagnosis and management of very early abnormal pregnancy, including pregnancy of unknown location. She is specifically interested in translational approaches for early diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy and safety of very early abortion. She has expertise in randomized trials, implementation research, and systematic review. Her research has been nationally recognized with an award for best implementation poster at the Society for Family Planning Annual Meeting in 2017.
Dr. Baldwin is the site Principal Investigator for OHSU in the multi-center TRIOS Study, investigating unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss. She is also involved in the Early Pregnancy Biomarkers Study, which is exploring placental biomarkers that could be used to detect pregnancy location and viability in the setting of early abnormal pregnancy.
