Biography
Meera Kanakia became a nurse practitioner to work closely with people and truly influence their health and well-being. She enjoys the challenge of staying up-to-date in a field that is constantly changing. She is especially excited about developments in women's health — a field she is passionate about.
Along with providing excellent primary care, Kanakia strives to be an information resource for her patients by staying updated about the latest health advances.
She came to Portland from Connecticut and chose OHSU because of its excellent reputation. She also wanted to work in an academic institution that offers opportunities for teaching and learning as well as patient care.
