Biography

My work is on improving the efficiency and validity of clinical research by enabling the secondary use of electronic clinical data. Specifically, I am interested in electronic health record data quality, the problem of poor data quality as a barrier to the reuse of clinical data, and identifying and developing methods that can be used to assess data quality and overcome this barrier. My aim is to encourage the systematic assessment and transparent reporting of electronic health record data quality in clinical research and quality of care assessment and improvement.
