Biography
Dr. Koney is a physician with specialized training in interventional radiology who strives to partner with his patients and their broader care team to achieve optimal total health.
He was born in Ghana and spent his formative years on both sides of the Atlantic in West Africa and Brooklyn, NYC. He completed medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College followed by a combined diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine residency at Mount Sinai in NYC. He then moved west for his interventional radiology fellowship training at UCLA. He performs a wide variety of vascular and nonvascular interventional procedures. He is passionate about working with partners to build capacity and expand access to minimally invasive treatments. He joins the faculty at the Dotter Department of Interventional Radiology to spearhead global health efforts.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, learning about and experiencing different cultures, exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest and beyond.
