Biography

Patricia (Patty) Barfield PHD, RN, PMHNP-BC is a nurse educator, clinician, and researcher with OHSU SON. She serves as the Campus Associate Dean for the OHSU SON La Grande Campus and Regional Associate Dean for OHSU’s Campus for Rural Health in Northeast Oregon. She is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) specializing in pediatric mental health. She brings a deep understanding of rural life and a strong commitment to improving the health of rural communities. Dr. Barfield's areas of teaching and research interest includes interprofessional rural workforce development and child/adolescent well-being.
