Biography
I am a general pediatrician who cares for patients at all stages of development. I also treat those with behavioral health needs and those suffering from infectious diseases or asthma.
Some of the treatments I can offer my patients include preventative care, medication management, parenting guidance and office procedures (such as circumcision, birth control implants and wart removal).
I am passionate about social justice and committed to doing my part to ensure that all children, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, or background, have access to high-quality, compassionate medical care.
The miraculous nature of child development repeatedly strikes me. Watching a new baby enter the world, develop at lightning speed during childhood, and then mature into a young adult is an unparalleled experience! Becoming an intimate part of a child and family’s life and journey is a special privilege – it’s why I chose pediatrics as my specialty.
The vast differences among the bodies and brains of infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents test my knowledge and skills, keeping me on my toes. And even the hardest days at work promise to make a positive difference in the trajectories of children’s lives, which renews my passion and spirit!
Outside of work, I like to relax and recharge by surrounding myself with nature and fresh air. I love spending time outdoors with my husband, three young daughters, and two dogs. We love to run, hike, swim and frequent local playgrounds. I also enjoy reading (fiction and fantasy), cooking, listening to classical music and playing the violin.
