Biography
As senior director of OHSU Research Development, Rachel Dresbeck, Ph.D., leads strategic initiatives to support the research enterprise at OHSU. In particular, she focuses on research investment and capacity building, research partnerships with other institutions, institutional positioning, and helping researchers write better grants. She established the OHSU Research Development office in 2004, and has developed numerous programs to help scientists sustain their careers, including People Management for Principal Investigators. She teaches science and grant writing and is highly engaged with the National Organization of Research Development Professionals, serving on the board and as past president, and is currently focused on strategic alliances with federal institutions, professional societies, and industry sponsors.
