Biography

Raul Oviedo is an Administrative Coordinator for the Knight Cancer Institute, Community, Outreach, Research and Engagement side of the Knight.  Providing administrative support for various programs in the KCI - CORE organization, most recently, for the Knight Scholars Program.  The Knight Scholars Programs is a research-based program for High School students in unrepresented, rural areas of Oregon.  Providing the various cancer research resources available to students.  Raul is also involve and support the Knight Cancer C.O.A.C.H/Mobile Unit that is launching in the Fall of 2022.  Raul has always been part of the healthcare community, having been involved in many different aspects of healthcare, he prefers to stay in the administrative side and achieve the best he can to help others.  

Raul is an Oregon transplant from California, where he began his journey in healthcare, both in the clinical and administrative side.   Raul's passion about healthcare took a turn for the better when he took part in a volunteer program in Los Angeles, he became a Clinical Care Extender.  Volunteering in a hospital along side nurses, doctors and other medical staff.  He plans to continue his journey in healthcare as he is passionate about helping others.   Raul received his A.A in General Science and is working in finishing his B.S in Public Health.
