Biography

Ravi Thakur is working on developing microfluidic devices and platforms for both basic and translational research projects at CEDAR. He graduated from Purdue University with a mechanical engineering major, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. He has extensive experience in designing individual microfluidic components (droplet generators, microvalves, pumps, mixers) as well as designing integrated platforms. He plans to combine his expertise with several other scientists to build a sample-to-answer diagnostic platforms for early cancer detection.
