Biography

Recep Sade was born and raised in Turkey, where he completed his medical education at Marmara University in Istanbul. After medical school, he pursued a radiology residency at Gaziosmanpasa University in Tokat, Turkey, where he developed a strong interest in research, particularly in new imaging technologies and dose reduction.

After two years at OHSU, Recep has found the experience to be even more rewarding than he had initially imagined. OHSU’s commitment to innovative research and multidisciplinary collaboration has played a crucial role in expanding his expertise. The state-of-the-art facilities, combined with the opportunity to work alongside world-class faculty and researchers, have deepened his knowledge and passion for the field.

Beyond his professional ambitions, Recep is deeply appreciative of the Pacific Northwest’s stunning natural surroundings and enjoys spending time exploring the area with his wife and kids. From outdoor activities to the city’s vibrant culture, the area has become home for his family, providing a perfect balance of professional fulfillment and personal enjoyment. As Recep looks ahead, he is excited to continue his work in molecular imaging, building on the strong foundation he has established at OHSU and contributing to groundbreaking advancements in the field.
