Sangeeta Kalsi, M.D., M.P.H.
- Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, School of Medicine
- Casey Eye Institute, School of Medicine
Biography
Dr. Kalsi was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and completed her training in California. Her medical education in UCLA PRIME focused on training physician leaders to work in local and underserved communities. The unique opportunity with Casey Eye Institute in Astoria allows her to stay true to these values.
As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, she enjoys providing compassionate and high-quality ophthalmic care to a diverse population in a large catchment area. She performs complete eye exams to diagnose and treat common eye problems such as cataracts, dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, uveitis, and ocular surface disorders.
Her other interests include teaching residents and medical students, and traveling locally and globally to improve ocular health on an individual as well as the population level.
Outside of clinic, she loves to cook, dance, travel, listen to music, watch films, go on nature walks, play board games, and spend time with family and friends.
