Biography
Sara Evans-Dutson has worked in labs ranging from academic stem cell research to genomics to biofuels R&D in industry, making her familiar with a wide range of molecular biology techniques. She is happy serving as the hands of the lab; her experimental design and execution helps CEDAR scientists transform their innovative ideas into results. Her favorite things are assay development and stem cell models. At CEDAR she is working on the Healthy Oregon Project to streamline patient DNA processing and make it as fast, reliable, and inexpensive as possible so that all Oregonians may understand their cancer risk. She is also interested in innovative new ways for detecting cancer biomarkers in speedy, minimally invasive ways. Sara has a Bachelors in Biology from California State University, San Bernardino and has been at OHSU since 2013.
