Biography
Sarah Mitchell joins CEDAR as a graduate student in the Biomedical Engineering Program. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelors of science in chemistry with a pre-health emphasis and a minor in biological sciences. After graduating in the spring of 2021, she moved home and began her position as a research associate in the research and development department at Molecular Testing Labs in Vancouver, Washington. At CEDAR, Sarah will be helping in the development and use of DEP chips under the supervision of Dr. Stuart Ibsen. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, hiking, and trying new food places around portland. Sarah is excited to start her position at CEDAR as it has always been a dream of hers to do research in the early detection of cancer.
